Overview

Cornerstone seeks a FOIA Analyst to provide case intake, document review, redaction, and release preparation in support of the National Park Service (NPS) FOIA Program. The Analyst will ensure accurate processing of FOIA requests in compliance with federal law and Section 508 accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

Monitor FOIAXpress, mail, fax, and email for new requests and input into FOIAXpress.
Track FOIA cases throughout their lifecycle, ensuring deadlines are met.
Work with NPS FOIA Officers and SMEs to locate, identify, and separate records from non-record information.
Review records for responsiveness, apply FOIA exemptions, and prepare Vaughn indices as needed.
Redact exempt information and produce release packages that are 100% Section 508 compliant.
Draft acknowledgment letters, interim responses, and final correspondence.
Maintain accurate electronic FOIA case files and ensure quality control.
Support FOIA litigation by preparing case documentation when required.
Provide weekly tracking reports and participate in progress meetings.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
Expert-level certification in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
Proven knowledge of Section 508 compliance, including fillable forms accessibility.
Minimum 3 years of FOIA or federal records management experience.
Skilled in FOIAXpress, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
